OKAY, SAYING IT RIGHT NOW, SO DON'T ASK. NO YOU CANNOT USE MY EDIT OF THIS BASE. YES I WILL NOTICE IF YOU DO. LET'S NOT BE STUPID, HM?
Original base used: [link] I'd just like to say that I am in no way bashing ~ironwitch, this base is nearly five years old, all I'm saying is that you have options when you use traced bases. The quality if your base does not determine the quality of your doll. Your laziness does.
Found this in my old WIPs, was going to be Splife and his babeh girl, but it's been nearly two years since I worked on it. I do like the work so far, however, and I kind of like to show the reason that I'm OKAY with working with traced bases. If you actually put some effort into fleshing out the base first, you can actually create something worth looking at.
I love seeing what people can do with trace bases, it is all about patience and determination but you can really get something great out of them I love the feet you added btw <3 and his face is so cute!
Dude some traced bases are tots awesome to use! -whispers- you are actually part of the reason that I dont mind using them cause I look at things like this and go "Yes I can so do this!" and then I loose motivation later but I still believe I /can/ and /should/ edit traced bases. I love seeing what you do with them too~ ^^
Wont lie the one where Splife has his arms up and face all edited makes me giggle. XD
I totally agree! I see bases sometimes and I'm just like 'OHMYGOSH THAT POSE WOULD BE PERFECT, I MUST USE IT RIGHT NOW.' ..but my problem is that I'm tooooootally lazy, and by the time I get the base right I've lost all motivation to actually finish the doll Ahaha, he looks really goofy, I think I was trying to have him sticking his head out a bit, but his neck looks quite goose-ish.
I love this. It's adorable. I do this with traced bases too. If there's a particular pose I want I'll edit the hell out of it lol. There's no reason why it shouldn't be in your own style But you're definitely much better at it than I am
Thanks, haha, I'm way too picky about my bases. Sometimes it pays off and I get a really nice doll out of it, but 9/10 times it ends in me giving up because by the time the base is done I've totally lost motivation to doll on it ><
That's the worst isn't it? I have so many unfinished dolls because of that. Very rarely I'll open one up like a year later and sit and finish it. But I guess you'd have lots of lovely edited bases you could go back to if you can't find any
God damn Baylen I've said it before but I'll keep saying it, you are awesome. And I'm glad you said this, because anyone could certainly used traced bases and make it their own creation to the point no one would even know it was traced in the first place /: it becomes personal. Or at least it should, with a lot of edits. As Holly said, you're inspirational. <3 And I will stop gushing all over your page now :3
